Felted Bags I - Shaping & Color (3 - 6 hours)
In this introduction to felted bags, you will learn to create your own unique bag.  Beginning with a review of the fulling (felted knitting) process, and then move on to ideas for shaping bags including basic instructions for different shapes.  Depending on the length of the workshop, we will then move on to ideas for incorporating color into your bag through the use of intarsia, fair isle, color blocking and striping.

Felted Bags II - Incorporating Texture (3 hours)

In this workshop, we will cover adding texture to the felted material through the incorporation of stitch techniques, the addidition of non felting materials, beading and embellishment.

Felted Bags III - Finishing Techniques (3 hours)

Learn to finish like a pro, its the little details that count.  We will look at available handles, lining and embellishments to complete your felted bags.  Area's covered include different types of handles and attachments, both handcrafted and purchased, closures & zippers, linings materiels from cloth to leather and more.

If You Can Knit a Scarf - You Can Knit a Sweater! (3 - 6 hours)

All you need to know to knit your very own sweater.  In this intensive workshop, we'll cover how to read a pattern, guage, the basics of increasing and decreasing, finishing techniques and more.  In a six hour workshop, attendees will create their own custom pattern for their sweater based on their knitted guage swatch

Using Ready to Wear as a Base for Freeform Embellishment (3 hrs)

Learn how to use purchased objects such as pocketbooks, scarves, jackets and gloves as a base for your handknit freeform embellishment.  In this workshop we will cover appropriate ready to wear items for embellishment, color selection, shaping and design to create your very own art object from new or used garments and accessories.

Knitting for Newbies - Seaman's Scarf (1 1/2 - 3 hours)

New to knitting?  In this class we'll cover all the basics... casting on, knitting, purling, increases, decreases and the basics of pattern reading.  At the end of the class you'll have all the skills necessary to knit a rib textured Seaman's scarf that tapers around the neck.

Wristlets & Fingerless Gloves  (1 1/2 - 3 hours)
Quick and easy, portable and fun to wear, wristlets and fingerless gloves are all the rage.  We'll talk about the basics of shaping, thumb gussets and sizing and move on to edgings, embelishment and texture as time allows.
